Hi everyone,
My name is Josh Graupera I am a Lancaster-born artist living and working in Philadelphia, PA. I work at the Fabric Workshop and Museum and make paintings, drawing and sculptures in my home studio.
Over the past two years I have been working on my portfolio in order to apply to the Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture, a prestigiuos 9-week residency in Skowhegan, Maine. It was a "shoot for the stars" goal I set for myself to keep me on point. Out of the 2100 people who applied this year, I am very fortunate to be one of the 65 participants for the 2016 season. This is an incredible opportunity for me to develop my work in a focused and studious environment.
In order to go, however, I'll need a financial boost. I didn't create my work alone, apply alone and I don't expect to get there on my own. It has always been with an incredible community of artists, friends, colleauges and family that have tremendously supported me. I am reaching out to all of you because I still need your help.
I want this effort to be an exchange so you get something out of it as well. Below I've listed different donation brackets. Each one is paired with a drawing or set of drawings. (For example, if you donate $10 you'll get a handmade 4"x6" drawing). Postcard drawings are the core component of my work and I'd love to send them to new homes.
$1 - Thanks!
$5 - Thank You note created by me.
$10 - A 4"x6" drawing made by yours truly.
$20 - (2) 4"x6" drawings
$50 - (6) 4"x6" drawings
$100 - (12) 4"x6" drawings

I'm going to leave the page up and open through the summer. Skowegan's session runs from June 10th-August 13th. All donations made by May 31st will recieve their pieces before I leave. All donations made after May 31st will recieve works when I return!
Lastly, I want to say thank you. I truly believe that the I am the sum of all love of the people in my life. I strive to make my work refelct that and with your help, I know I'll be able to make smart, challenging and thoughtful pieces this summer and beyond.
All the best,
Josh
