On March 15 the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District lost Mr. Joshua Golbert, the Director of Music & Performing Arts.  Josh was a successful musician and educator who grew into being an always present and engaged administrator, teacher, and advocate for music in our schools.  There was rarely a concert or any musical event in the district where he was not there supporting his music educators and students with great pride.  Often he would be spotted in multiple buildings across a day! Josh's dedication was greatly appreciated and now incredibly missed.

Josh's most important role of course was that of husband to Lori, and father to Jonathan and Leah.  So many people have continually asked if there is anyway they can help his family or show their appreciation of all Josh gave of himself.

We have set up a fund to benefit his family. If you would like to contribute,  The Music Association of Plainview-Old Bethpage (MAPOB), will be collecting donations on behalf of the teachers and students who are thinking often of him and his family through the music we hope would make him proud.
