We need your help.

This past weekend, while camping up in Mendocino, our trip took a heartbreaking turn. We were hiking along the coast and Kaia, Josh and Alex's dog, fell from one of the cliffs. Unaware of the extent of her injuries, and without a second thought, Josh sprang into action, and carried Kaia up to safety. 

We rushed her out and after visiting multiple veterinary clinics, Kaia now needs important life saving care up at UC Davis. She has an instability in her spine and the only way to fix it is with a surgical implant.

As of now, the cost of the surgery is $12,000.00. Anything we can raise for our dear friends is much needed and much appreciated. If money is not an option for you, any offer of help - a shoulder to lean on, or a meal cooked, or an offer to dog-sit once Kaia is home - is also appreciated.

Please join us in helping Kaia. I know that many of you believe pets are family members as we do, and Alex and Josh are no exception. I have never met a dog so happy, so full of life, and just so very sweet. She's only 4 years old and has a lot of life left to live.
