Josh Wilson and Tim Willett Scholarship

The families of Joshua Keith Wilson and Timothy James Willett are joining together to set up a scholarship fund that will help men and women who have fought and are fighting the battle of addiction. The scholarship will assist those who are seeking help to overcome this battle.

 Josh and Timothy have been very close childhood friends for years.  They played baseball together, graduated high school together, they roomed together while in college, and kept in touch over the years.

 Both Josh and Timothy had something else in common. They both got caught in the snare of “the father of lies”, SATAN. Both of them STRUGGLED AND FOUGHT THE VERY REAL ILLNESS CALLED ADDICTION. Neither one of them liked being BOUND by these chains.

 For families who have never had an addict in their family, be thankful!! This is something that is SO HARD ON THE ADDICT WHO TRULY WANTS TO BE FREE, but it is also very hard on their family and friends who have to watch the addiction destroy their loved one.

As parents of Josh and Timothy, we prayed and prayed that God would set them free. God will always answer your prayers. Sometimes it is just not the answer you may desire. But, we know that God’s plan is ALWAYS BEST!!  Sometimes He has another plan and we, as His children, have to walk on, and say yes to His plan. We must be assured that He knows BEST!! Timothy won his battle on

January 1, 2019 (8/14/86 - 1/1/19) and Josh won his battle on March 1, 2020 (10/28/86 - 3/1/20).

 We want men and women, who are struggling like our precious boys did, to be able to receive the help that they need to prayerfully be an OVERCOMER!!

New Life Launch Pad in Wilmington, NC is a wonderful place for such help. It is a reality that thousands of people are in need of the support that New Life Launch Pad offers. The truth is that lots of them can not afford the entry fee around $500 and then weekly cost for room and board of $150 as soon as they leave a rehab facility. 

This scholarship will fund individuals to have the chance for putting their feet on a solid foundation as they seek a NEW LIFE to LAUNCH out from. 

 We will do several fundraisers to reach our goal of $10,000 for the year 2020.  It is a high goal, but this will help 10 individuals pay the entry fee and several weeks rent.  Entrants into this program have to attend IOP (counseling) and there are many people that don’t have family to help with costs.  We would like to make a difference and change lives in honor of Tim and Josh!!  It is about giving hope to those who may feel hopeless!!  Our prayer is that this endeavor will literally explode and we can help many more who truly are seeking a NEW LIFE!! With your help, the loss of Joshua Keith Wilson and Timothy James Willett will not be in vain.  Please help us help others from Sanford to Wilmington.
