Dude is the coolest cucumber in the jar, and that goes for any fridge. Gotta tell you, it's a lot to live up to, being his son.

If you do know my dad, then you know he's an old-fashioned man's man.

My pops, along with my mother, raised four children and helped build a community that raised fine young men and women and that community has stood side-by-side one another through a whole hell of a lot. It's with great humility that I ask anyone who's willing and able to consider offering anything that may help.

As it goes with these strong-willed men, pops has avoided the doctor like a politician avoids confession, and even one time, I'm kidding you not, the guy pulled out his own tooth with a pair of pliers to avoid seeing a dentist. If he could perform his own surgery or skip it altogether he would.

This time the injuries are just too great.

If you’re reading this far I’m sure you want to know what happened. So what happened is this. He ate sh#! on his beach cruiser and by some act of absurdity, he managed to break five ribs, shatter his spleen (level 5), puncture a lung, bruise his heart, cause a hemopneumothorax, and numerous other complications- one currently requiring surgery for splenic embolization.

He's been in the hospital for two weeks and has a long, long road ahead.

And to top it all off... he missed the Angels game.

My father's needs have far exceeded the medical coverage he has-any support is appreciated! It would be sure to bring much needed comfort and healing to a great man who has always paid it forward and once healed will surely be happy to do so again.
