Josh Walters was rushed to the hospital after suddenly losing feeling and movement in his body and his ability to breathe. After being stabilized at PRMC in Fort Wayne, an MRI revealed a tumor on his spinal cord with hemorrhaging. He was transported to IU Methodist in Indianapolis the next day. Josh had surgery to remove the tumor on September 4th. He has limited mobility and feeling in his limbs, with the right side being a little stronger than his left. He will be transferred to an acute rehabilitation hospital to begin intense physical therapy soon. Pathology showed the tumor was melanoma and so Josh will begin cancer treatment when his surgical sight has fully healed.
Josh and his family, above all, need prayer for healing and strength as they fight this battle. Shannon is a stay at home mom to Faith (17 months) and is currently expecting. Thankfully, they do have medical insurance, but there will undoubtedly be many expenses to come. If you'd like to help, please pray and consider donating and/or sharing. Thank you, God Bless.
