Joshua “Josh” Stinson joined the Mississippi Department of Public Safety family on July 15, 2024. Not long after starting his new role, his wife, Kelsi, faced a sudden and severe medical crisis. After an incredibly difficult two-and-a-half-month hospital fight, Kelsi passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Our MDPS family is coming together to support Josh and his young family during this heartbreaking time. This loss is profound and will leave a lasting impact on Josh’s life. Given the unfortunate timing of Kelsi’s illness and Josh’s recent start date, the family does not qualify for state benefits and has faced over two months without any income, as Josh dedicated himself fully to being by his wife’s side.

All donations will go to the family to help with expenses during this difficult time.
