Joshua Craig Reinhardt (December 23, 1974 - March 29, 2023)
Josh left this world the same way he lived it… with a fighting spirit. He loved his wife, his family, his friends, and as most of you know, his recently deceased Pug, Butters. He grew up in Ocean Grove and was a member of Mr. Dexter Davison’s summer programs. He went through the Neptune Public School System, and had currently resided in Point Pleasant with his amazing wife, Kim Califano. Everyone who met Josh pretty much made a friend for life. He would remember you, where you met, and the conversation you had. He knew people wherever he went and he would stop and chat with everyone, especially if they had a dog to pet. It was like walking around with the mayor. When he entered any room, it was like Norm from Cheers…”JOSH!” He was always so excited about all his exploits and would get so worked up like a little kid in a comic book shop…which is where you might find Josh on any given day. He loved being around large busy crowds of people, and he worked at many local places over the years: the Wonder Bar, Old Man Rafferty’s, the Shore House, and the Stone Pony.
He loved loud music, open air concerts in Asbury Park, and lending a helping hand when he could.
Josh was one of the most kind-hearted people I know and many people feel the same way.
He has left behind a legacy of love and he will certainly be missed.
He is survived by:
his devoted wife, Kim Califano and their two puppies: Bodie and Margie ;
his mother, Pam Reinhardt;
his older sister, Jennifer Mitchell and her husband Chris Mitchell and his nephews, Caleb and Noah;
his younger brother, Jacob Reinhardt and his fiance, Siobhan Clark;
his mother-in-law Linda Califano;
his 3 brother-in-laws: Michael, Kevin, and Brian Califano;
his 2 sister-in-laws: Katie and Nicole;
his 8 nieces and nephews: Tod, Parker, Charlotte, Riley, Brian, Michael, Capri, and Lennon;
and his many, many friends who are all devastated by this loss.

In his memory I ask that you turn up your music a little louder, don an Irish paddy cap and a superhero t-shirt, and take a walk on the boardwalk of Ocean Grove. Stop to talk to someone you know (or even don’t know) and definitely ask to pet a stranger’s dog. (Bonus points if it’s a Pug!).

Visitation will be at The Ocean Grove Memorial Home (118 Main Avenue, OG) from 10am-11am for family, and then from 11am-4pm for friends.
The repast will be held at Kelly’s Tavern (43 Route 35 in Neptune City) from 6-8. The family requests you wear your favorite superhero or Marvel T-shirt to the repast in Josh’s memory.

This has been a devastating loss, and very unexpected, so any help with the medical expenses would mean a world of difference.
thank you to everyone,
and please, hug everyone you love everyday.
