Josh & Melissa Survivors of Fritch Tx Wildfire
Donation protected
Newlyweds Josh & Melissa just moved to Fritch Texas from Phoenix Az 3 short weeks ago with their 8-year-old daughter Starla and dog Blue. They were excited to start a new life together in this adorable small town. They had just obtained new jobs and starting to settle into their new lives. They had been staying with their 76-year-old Grandma when tragedy struck the town of Fritch. A Wildfire tore through the Town of Fritch yesterday February 27, 2024. Starla was evacuated from the Elementary School and taken safely to the High School where Melissa was able to retrieve her. The girls arrived at the house to pack up a bag of belongings just moments before the sirens went off warning them to get out of the area. Thank God for those sirens. This was incredibly nerve wracking especially being in a place that they were unfamiliar with. Melissa, Starla & Blue were able to get out of the home and able to safely reunite with Josh who was at work in the neighboring town. and with their Grandma who was also working outside of the home. They were able to return to the home they were staying in this morning only to find it had been completely engulfed by the fire and destroyed. Nothing is left. Just a pile of what once was. We are so grateful that this family is safe & together. But this family lost everything that was in the home. They literally have the clothes on their backs and a small bag of clothes for the 3 of them. The Grandma lost everything. From what I understand there is no homeowner's insurance on the property either. We are asking for donations to help the family recover from this tragedy. If you feel led to help we have linked the families bank account information to this GofundMe account. Thank you for taking the time to read Josh, Melissa & Starla's Story. Please share this GoFundMe. Just sharing helps get this families story out there and helps so much.
