To start off, Joshua and I would like to say how excited we are about this amazing opportunity. When we first heard about the chance to go on this mission trip, we really felt the holy spirit calling us to take this leap of faith. In Matthew 28: 19-20, Jesus said "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Considering this will be our first mission trip, we are very anxious to see what God has in store for us.
We will be traveling with the youth group from Christ Church Nashville to San Jose, Costa Rice June 5th-11th to help out with the Abraham Project
. Our main focus will be assisting with the daycare and children's homes, which meets the needs of over 200 local children on a daily basis. The majority of these children are considered at risk or come from situations of abuse or neglect.
The total cost for the two of us is $3,600. We need to have $2,400 raised by March 6th, with the remainder due approximately 1 week before we leave. We ask that you prayerfully consider helping to spread the gospel by contributing to this worthwhile cause. No gift amount is too small. 2 Corinthians 9: 11 says, "You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."
