Josh Kauffmann Burial Expenses
Dear Friends and Community Members:
We are humbly reaching out in support of a local military family facing extreme tragedy. On June 25th, 2017, Joshwa Kauffmann took his own life at the young age of 31. Joshwa served in the MN Army National Guard for 12 years with the 2-135 INF BN in Rochester, MN with two yearlong deployments overseas, first to Kosovo in 2[phone redacted] and then to Kuwait in 2[phone redacted].
Joshwa shared a son, Callan, with Mercedes Calvillo, who will be two years old in October.
Josh’s family is not only struggling with the extreme sadness of this tragedy, but this is compounded by other family health issues and financial stress. Josh’s life insurance benefits ended when his military service ended in 2012, so the family is soley responsible for laying him to rest, which will cost approximately $12,000. The funeral home helping the family during this time of need is Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, 255 2nd Ave SW Wells, MN 56097, [phone redacted].
Your assistance is sought during this time to help alleviate the family’s stress and focus on grieving and laying Joshwa to rest. Monetary donations can also be made to the funeral home or in the form of goods and services for a silent auction for an upcoming benefit.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and for your continuing support of our service members and military families.
