Dear Friends and Family,
We are overjoyed to be celebrating our wedding with you on 31st August. This celebration is not just about us, it’s a chance for all of us to reconnect, reminisce, and make new memories together after such a long time.
As you know, Josh and I have been together for nearly seven years, and we’ve built a life filled with love and the things we need. With this in mind, we’re not asking for traditional wedding gifts.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to host this special event and to share it with all of you. But as we planned our wedding, we couldn't help but think about those who aren’t as fortunate. In particular, the issues of homelessness and food poverty are causes that are very close to our hearts.
Instead of gifts, we ask that you consider what you might have spent over the course of our wedding celebration—whether on food, drinks, or a wedding present—and instead contribute that amount to our GoFundMe. These funds will be used so we can donate to local and national charities dedicated to addressing homelessness and food poverty, including food banks and outreach programs in Bristol, as well as national LGBTQ+ youth homelessness support organisations.
We've chosen to support the AKT, a national charity focusing on aiding homeless LGBTQ+ individuals, The Bristol Soup Run Trust, who focus on providing food, clothing and support to the homeless and vulnerable within Bristol and Caring in Bristol who focus on preventing homelessness, before it happens.
We’ve done everything we can to make this weekend special for you, with great food, plenty of drinks, and wonderful company. Now, we invite you to join us in making a difference for others.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping us give back to our communities.
With love,
J+J
