On Thursday 10th July, Josh was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Upon receiving this tragic news, Josh quickly had a date confirmed for his surgery and was scheduled to undergo a procedure at Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield just three weeks later. Josh endured a nine-hour surgery on Friday 1st August before going on to spend an additional week in the hospital. He was then able to return home to his family to recuperate from this exhausting procedure.

Throughout this difficult time, Josh had appointments with the care and surgical team, and received ongoing support from the stoma and colorectal nurses. On Thursday 28th August, Josh, along with his family and friends, was overjoyed to receive confirmation that he was cancer-free.

Thanks to the fantastic efforts of all the hospital staff, four of Josh's friends (Blaine, Bobby, Curt, and Jack) have accepted the challenge of completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Sunday 26th October to raise funds for Kings Mill Hospital.

If you are able to contribute with any donations towards this important cause, your support would be greatly appreciated.
