Hi, I am Josh. I am 14 and I am really excited to have been selected as one of 70 scouts and explores to represent Wales at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027. Now I need to raise the funds to get there. Scouting has been a big part of my life. I started as a beaver and have progressed to Explorers. My Scouting Friends and Leaders have helped me get through some tough times. I am really grateful for the confidence it has given me and skills it has taught me. I have developed a love of the great outdoors, camping and bushcraft. Through scouts I have also found a passion for sailing. I learnt to become independent and developed my leadership skills. I am now a young leader at cubs and enjoy giving back to those who, like I did, are starting on their own scouting journeys.

The Jamboree will give me an amazing opportunity to meet scouts from all over the world, experience new places and activities. I need to raise £3.4k which covers 6 preparation camps and all my travel. It also helps to subsidise the less well off countries to enable their scouts to attend. To fundraise I am aiming to wash 100 cars, doing cake sales at school, making items to sell, undertaking sponsored challenges and will be organising events like a family bingo night.

Any donation, however small, to help me on my way will be gratefully received.
