Josh Gained his Wings ️

Joshua Shackelford was 38 years old and enjoy spending time in Trinity, Alabama as well as Savannah, Georgia. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn this unexpected tragic loss. As a man of God, we know that Josh is with our Father in heaven and spreading his wings with his brother, sister, grandfather, and his beloved grandmother Mollie Lee Shackelford!

 

He has been fighting for years and we as a family started planning his funeral 3 years ago when the doctors said there was nothing else they could do. Every time his health went low, we would tell Josh to keep fighting, that we aren’t ready to let go yet...you have to keep fighting...come on Champ (Champion). He fought and fought for years.

 

So, now that we are having to accept such an unfathomable loss and actually plan his homegoing, the only thing that brings us comfort is knowing he is no longer suffering.

 

Josh was everything to everyone. A Father, a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a friend, and more! He saw life through a different lens. As a Chef, he had a love for food and a talent for his technique to prepare fine dining.

 

Joshua Shackelford, you embodied the meaning of LIFE! No matter what you lived in every moment! Smiling, dancing, and singing the whole way!! Rest in Peace. Our family and friends are deeply saddened and any monetary gifts would be a blessing to us.
