Josh DeSanctis road to recovery

Hi My name is Taylor, I’m Joshua’s sister in law, some may already know that josh was in a very serious rollover car accident and Sunday morning where the driver lost control he was ejected from the vehicle and thrown roughly 25 yards away.

When the medics arrived on scene josh was actively trying to get up and leave , and if you know josh, this shouldn’t come as a surprise, but due to the severity of his injuries he was intubated and sedated in the field and transported code to the hospital .

Once the team evaluated him, he was listed as “unknown” and placed into the ICU until family could be located and injuries could be assessed and handled accordingly.

Josh has a number of different injuries all ranging in different levels of severity. Josh has a skull fracture, a fractured neck, a fractured pelvis in more than one spot, multiple bruised organs, 3rd degree lacerations to his spleen and liver, a TBI ( a severe concussion) as well as a few others. He is unable to walk unassisted, and he is forgetful at times.

Josh is one of the sweetest, most caring people I’ve ever met, full of life and someone who would go out of his way for anyone, and seeing him like this has been very very emotionally taxing on the family and why I’m hoping to help aid in his financial recovery.

Josh works a very physically demanding job and will be out of work for

quite sometime , His mom and dad have taken time off from work and will need more time off to be available for Josh’s needs , the medical bills are already stacking up as Josh doesn’t have medical insurance.

Josh will likely need round the clock care for the foreseeable future, and impatient rehab care with many doctors appointments and therapists for months. I’m hoping to help raise money to support his parents Tony and Paula in the care and financial burden they are facing, from bills to medical expenses.
