Josh was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer a little over two weeks ago. We have been so blessed to have met and worked with many providers already and have been lifted up in prayer by so many. We are so appreciative to all the groups of people that have heard in one way or another and stepped up to pray with us. We see this upheaval in our lives and know that God is with us and will carry us along the path He set forth.

One of the opportunities we have been quickly blessed with is a chance to have Josh seen at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. They are a cancer focused hospital with experts in many different cancers. Of all cancers diagnosed in the US, Josh has a cancer that is diagnosed 1% of the time. For his age he is 1% of people diagnosed with esophageal cancer. In those statistics we are thankful to be meeting a group that understands and helps people with rare cancers. We will also be praying that Josh, in the rareness of this diagnosis, is also against the odds in being healed.

Of course this opportunity and the process of fighting cancer comes with a whole new set of challenges for all four of us in travel, day to day disruption and balance of life and treatment.
