Josh Bahr Memorial

Hello everyone. For everyone who may not know me, my name is Aaron. I am seeing if there are people who would help defray the cost for a memorial for Josh Bahr. This memorial means a great deal to me because Josh took a gamble many years ago and gave me a chance to curl competitively with him in juniors. Long story short, Josh believed in me and, little did he know, that chance really helped shape who I am today.
Josh Bahr passed away July 24, 2020. Josh was an extremely caring person and had a very large passion for the sport of Curling. I wanted to create a memorial at the Bemidji Curling Club where he would be remembered every time you took a seat to watch curling.
The memorial will consist of six - 9 foot tables and two - 4.5 foot tables mounted against the wall overlooking the curling rink. Each table is designed to look like a curling sheet with an image of Josh being in the center of each table.
Isaiah’s Woodwork from Bemidji, MN is building and installing the tables and Chris Johnson from Bemidji, MN designed the tables. They both have been extremely helpful in getting this memorial off the ground.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions. I am new to Go Fund Me and am working through this as I go. We have started the building process and the more expensive items are next (epoxy, vinyl, and wood). The goal is to have these installed by the start of the 2021 curling season (November) at the Bemidji Curling Club.
Last fall (2020), I raised some money for this project to help get it off the ground. I had a Josh Bahr memorial decal designed and made. In total, that raised $520! Thank you!! Some of that money has gone into designing and testing. The remainder of that money will be used towards the memorial.
