Josh and The Crypt need help

well, heres a nice long story for you...

As you know, i operate a small moped shop called The Crypt. it is my main source of income and its what gets me by. work is traditionally seasonal to riding season and in the winter we get by on parts sales and large custom jobs.

well, 2020 has been a wild ride for all of us.

it was a rough winter this year, just barely eeking it out, which is not atypical for winter season but this one was rougher than usual. just barely scraping by as is. as you may or may not know i have a pretty bad history with athsma and a weird condition that causes my sinuses to drain directly to my lungs.

well hello covid-19. you got here so quickly we barely had time to react. with the medical conditions i already have, covid was surely a death sentence. so, we did what any reasonable person would do, we went into strict quarantine. my wife was still working on the frontlines at the time so as a safety precaution, she opted to stay with her sister while she was working and away from me as to not risk infecting me.

things were going OK for the first few months, although very lonely as i hadnt left my apt or seen a human face by the 60 day mark. thats around the time i started to feel funny. a slight ear infection which i was too scared to have looked at because of the virus had exploded into a full blown nasty bronchitis. this bronchitis had swollen my tonsils, adenoids, and lymph nodes so tight it was like being two handed choked by hulk hogan. this sent me to the ER twice in as many weeks.

the results were not good and they are getting worse all the time. there is talk of a possible ABPA infection that will require a biopsy, right into talk of cancer. currently, there are about 10,000 tests they need to run on me and the medication is piling up

so far, the constant doctors visits, hospital trips, medications, and increased cost of having supplies delivered through quarantine have pretty much exhausted every financial gain i have made since february. with social distancing, quarantining, and a prevalence of people who cant be bothered to wear masks, finding mopeds in the wild to fix and sell or even accepting new bikes to service for the general population has become quite difficult and the business at the shop has slowed to a craw exactly when i need it not to the most, and to be honest, even the few times i have gone down to the shop to work i am unable to stay long as i am still so under the weather that eventually i am too sick to stay.

so, this fundraiser is for the following: rising medical bills (self employed with no insurance YAY), doctors visits, medication, monthly expenses, rent, etc, and not to be too dramatic, but the possibility of an end of life situation. i am not trying to be an alarmist, but i am wanting to be transparent and upfront and realistic. I am not in a good position health wise and i dont know where this is going to go.

all i do know for sure is that i am in the most serious medical trouble ive been in my entire life. i have not been able to see my wife for over 3 months. i am truly alone in this in my apt praying for some kind of miracle. anxiety and fear keep me pinned to the floor and every day is a journey into the unknown. im scared, i need help.
