Josh and Magic's fight against homelessness.

Hello everyone,

My name is Josh, and my cat Magic and I are facing homelessness. I’m reaching out for help from all of you.

Let me tell you about Magic and how special he is to me. Magic is my world. He’s not just a pet—he’s my family. At 16 years old, Magic has been my constant companion through heartbreak, loss, and some of the hardest days of my life. For years, he has given me unconditional love, curling up beside me when the world felt unbearable, reminding me that I wasn’t alone. Now, as he needs me the most, I fear I won’t be able to care for him.

For those of you who don’t know me, let me share a little about myself. Years ago, I left religion and built a new life from the ground up. I worked hard to create stability for myself and my daughter, never thinking I would find myself struggling like this again. Today, my daughter is living with her mother, and Magic and I miss her deeply. We’re working on seeing her more, but with everything falling apart, I don’t know what the future holds.

In just 38 days, I will lose my home. Despite all my efforts, I have run out of options. I’ll have nowhere to go and no steady income, and worst of all, I don’t know what will happen to Magic.

Magic has hyperthyroidism, early-stage kidney disease, and a heart murmur that needs monitoring. But more than anything, he needs warmth, stability, and love in his final years. He deserves to feel safe, not lost and afraid.

I’m asking from the depths of my heart: please, if you can, help us. Help me and Magic stay together. We’ve already lost so much, and I don’t want to lose him too.
