Help Josh & Giuliano after losing their home

On April 18, 2023, a fire broke out in the building that two incredible individuals, Giuliano D'Orazio and Joshua Croke, called home. Fortunately, along with the other residents (and pets) of the building, they made it out safely. Worcester firefighters were able to put out the fire, with two being injured in their efforts. As a result of severe water damage, Giuliano and Josh have been displaced from their home. Unfortunately, they did not have renters' insurance. While many of their personally valued items have been salvaged, the sudden displacement and costs surrounding a tragedy like this are overwhelming. We now turn to the community they so cherish and support and humbly ask for considerations of assistance during this challenging time.

Josh and Giuliano are talent, inspiration, and kindness. You may know them personally, have seen them perform, heard them on local radio, read about them in local publications, or seen them on social media. In some way, your life may have been impacted by them; you may not even realize it. These two community champions have touched the lives of many in Worcester, and it's time for us to give back.

Josh is the founder of Action! by Design, an equity-centered social change company, and co-founder of Love Your Labels, a nonprofit supporting LGBTQ+ youth through art, fashion, and design. Josh also sits on the boards of Living in Freedom Together (LIFT) and the Worcester Education Collaborative. In addition to other community work, Josh recently received the Safe Homes People of Courage Award just last week. Giuliano is a celebrated musician, entertainer, songwriter, educator, and activist. He is a 2023 Worcester Arts Council Fellowship Grant recipient and Love Your Labels board member. Josh and Giuliano bring joy and acceptance through performance and advocacy in and around Worcester encouraging authenticity, supporting small businesses, and fighting for community by furthering social justice efforts impacting underrepresented and marginalized communities.

We need your help to support these kind-hearted individuals during this challenging time. They never ask for anything, which makes it all the more important for us to step up and lend a hand. Let's show them the love and compassion they have shown our community by donating whatever we can to help them sustain, rebuild, and, as Josh would say, continue “Onward.”
