Josh & Anna go to Guatamela Mission 2019

Tax deductible
The two of us are so excited to be able to let you know that we have been presented with an opportunity to go on a mission trip for the final time in our high school careers. Mission work holds a special place in our hearts, and much of our maturity and growth comes from something that happened on a past mission trip. If it wasn’t for the incredible acts of generosity from family and friends, we are sure our lives would look different than they do now.

This year, we will be stepping out of what our school usually does and traveling to Guatemala to partner with an organization called Catalyst Resources International. That might sound familiar--Anna was able to intern there this summer for a month! Not knowing if she’d ever have the chance to return to a place that became so meaningful to her, when she found out Arborbrook was partnering with them, she was ecstatic (to say the least). You may be wondering what makes this time different--which is a good question! This time, Anna will be in a unique leadership position because she became familiar with the culture of Guatemala and CRI during the summer. Josh is very excited about this trip. He is most looking forward to being able to build a home for a family. He is also very excited to bring smiles to kids’ faces during the VBS days. We are very excited about being able to foster an environment where others can come to understand the Gospel while going deeper in our understanding of the Gospel ourselves!

The cost is $1,600 for each of us to be able to go. If you are able, would you consider a tax-deductible donation to help us cover the costs of our trip? If you can give, please send a check to Arborbrook Christian Academy in the addressed envelope provided. Whether you can give financially or not, please say a prayer for our team. We recognize that without God’s help, our efforts amount to very little. Dates of the trip are March 1-9, 2019.

Before we close, we want to let you know that Christie made the decision NOT to go on this trip. There is a LOT going on in our lives with sports and applying to colleges. Christie must complete an internship before graduating from Arborbrook. She decided to use the week we are in Guatemala for this purpose. She’s sad to miss it but knows this is what she must do at this time. She hopes to return to the mission field another time in the future.

God bless,
Josh & Anna Zawacki
