In memory of Joseph “Skip” Peters IV

Joseph (Skip) Peters a son, brother, and a friend to all left us in a tragic accident the night of January 23rd. That night, he was picking up his brother Xavier, father to be, when a two car collision occurred that resulted in tragic consequences. The Peters family has kindly asked us to help organize this to help with funeral and medical expenses as both sons were impacted. 

None of us will ever forget the day Skip came into our lives. Talking to him was like talking to someone you’ve known your entire life. No matter how any of us knew him, he was easily one of the hardest working, most positive people any of us have ever met. In the years he lived with us in fresno, he became much more than a coworker, a roommate, or even a friend; most everyone that knew Skip considered him family.

In every stage of his life here, even after moving on to bigger and better things, Skip always came back to check on us. No matter the situation, he always made time for anyone who needed it. Always calm and collected, without hesitation, he would give the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his wallet. No matter what, he had a way of making you feel special; he always saw the good in everyone and knew just how to cheer you up if you were down.

Over the course of the decade he lived in Fresno, he met and immediately befriended a ridiculous number of people. Because of this, no matter where you went with him, you would find someone knew whose life was made better simply by having met him. Knowing Skip instantly made you a lifelong friend, and everyone who knew him was devastated when we heard about what happened. There wasn’t a person in the world who deserved this less.
