A good friend once said, "It's easy to fall into that pit of despair but then you are stealing the joy from the gift of today."
On Wednesday, January 8th, my father was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is the most common and most aggressive primary brain tumor. The standard treatment is surgery, when possible, chemotherapy, and radiation. At best, these treatments will slow the progression of his cancer and reduce his symptoms. There is no cure. I cannot accept that. My father has been by my side for my entire life. Together with my mother, he created a home filled with more love and support than most people get to experience in their lifetime. He is a kindhearted man who has devoted his entire life to provide for my mother, my sister, and me. I owe it to him to fight. I am asking for donations to help my family explore other options. Clinical trials and alternative medicine are extremely expensive. All I want is to provide my father with a fighting chance. His journey is not over.
