Help cover medical expenses due to leukemia

Hi, As most of you know, and for those that don't know, Joseph 36 year old father of 3 had a torn quadricep which started bleeding internally after having an emergency procedure at his surgeon's office to relieve the pressure off his muscle. After 5 days of draining at home Joseph went to a follow up doctors appt where he was sent to the emergency room for a blood tranfusion as he started to feel weak and very tired. At the emergency room they tested his blood and found his hemoglobin to be at a 5.3 (normal numbers for his weight would be 14) , also his white blood cells were extremely elevated at 387,000 which is 40 times of a healthy person. After running multiple medical test including a bone marrow biopsy his diagnosis came back as Chronic Myeloid Leukemia aka CML. Following his diagnosis Joseph had to have 2 more surgeries on his leg to remove blood clots due to excessive bleeding and abnormal clotting . Doctors were at a loss but after multiple tests it came back that due to the CML Joseph’s blood wasn't clotting normal. Before anymore procedures could be done on the leg it was necessary they get his white blood cells down. Joseph had to start treatment for the CML right away to get his white blood cells down and his blood to start clotting normally. Doctors put him on what you would call a chemo pill and after just 1 week his white blood cells have come closer to normal numbers praise God. Doctors were able to get the bleeding and clotting under control and have now closed up his 9 inch incision on his right upper leg. This has been a world win to say the least so much so the doctors have told us Joseph’s story will be going in to the medical journals as this is a very rare and unique medical case .

One month later and here we are finally home with our babies and Joseph is starting to work on getting mobile again with daily pt exercises . We still have along road ahead of us as CML is a life long illness but we are grateful for where we are today and continue to thank God for all he has done . What we do not look forward to is the many hospital bills there is to come as well as figuring out the next steps in getting back to work. If you have the means and are able we would appreciate any help!
