Early in the morning of December 13, 2023 My 13 year old brother found our father unresponsive in bed. He immediately called his mom and I to tell us he needed help. When paramedics arrived there was nothing to be done, we had lost an amazing father grandfather and husband for no apparent reason.

Joe was an amazing man who touched so many souls in our community, he dedicated his life to providing care to others as a CNA and behavioral therapist helping those in need. He loved his job and took care of it.

He was the sole provider for his loving wife and their 13 year old son, Honor, allowing his wife Lynn to stay home and not only care for their son but also to care for their grandchildren while their parents worked. My dads whole world revolves around his son and grandkids, they gave him purpose and meaning, he was also the sole full time care provided for his 78 year old Step-Father. Our whole family is in shock, trying to wrap our heads around what happened, from what they could explain upon examining was complications due to Covid.

With him passing his wife is left in a horrible position as she has 0 income, they were staying in a hotel while they waited for their new home to be ready( which she won’t be able to move into now) with barely 2 weeks to Christmas which they haven’t shopped for.

we will be having a small ceremony hopefully next month when he can get all this family home to be with him.

we’re asking for donations to help pay for his cremation expenses as well as a little help for my little brother for Christmas, anything left over we will be using to help my mom and brother survive until we can get an income figured out for her. I know this is already they toughest financial time of the year, so if you can’t donate please share, I really hope to give Honor a small Christmas as he just lost his dad and best friend less then 2 weeks before their favorite holiday.
