Joseph Tuttobene Funeral Expenses

Hello, my name is Phillip Tuttobene. I am 23 years old and recently graduated from college. My father, Joseph Tuttobene passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 11th at the age of 63.

My father battled with health issues for most of his adult life which worsened with age. Diabetes, congestive heart failure, kidney failure, etc. In 2016, we lost my mother in a battle with cancer at the age of 52 years old; I was 16 years old at the time. In 2018, my father had a major stroke. He lost feeling in both legs and his left arm. This left him rendered permanently to a nursing facility where he would spend the rest of his days as I went off to college to begin my adult life. The hardest part for me was dealing with the mental effects the stroke had on my father. He still had remnants of his personality, but it felt like something was missing. He never truly regained his full mental state.

While this distorted personality makes up the 6 most recent years of memories I have with my father, I choose to celebrate him how I remember him in his full able bodied state. My father was a fun loving and energetic man with a heart of gold. He loved to play guitar and listen to music. He loved my mother and stuck by her side through thick and thin. He loved me and did his best to always make me smile.

My father passed away with no assets or life insurance. This leaves me, a 23 year old who's working and trying to figure out his next career path, with no other option but to bare the financial burden of funeral expenses to bring an honorable sense of closure to my fathers life. At this point in my life, I am heartbroken to announce that I do not have the money to pay for even the bare minimum sendoff for my father. Therefore, I believe this would be an appropriate time to reach out to friends, family and others for help. All proceeds will go first and foremost to the cost of an urn, a memorial service, tombstone engravings, burial and any other potential expenses that may arise directly regarding funeral expenses. If applicable, I plan to utilize remaining proceeds strategically to help me get on my feet and propel me to a successful and prosperous life.
