Joseph & Tamera's Journey to Recovery

Hi I am Joseph Elder along with my daughter Tamera. We lost all of our possessions in an apartment fire May 2, 2024 . The fire started in someone else's unit and spread throughout the bldg.. We lost everything that we had there including medicine, medical equipment for Tamera and all of our things. Having just lost a job not long prior. The fire compounded things. We will have to start all over again. We were lucky to get out after slow response from the neighbors where the fire originated. My daughter is a type I diabetic with a colostomy bag & a supra public catheter. She hasn't walked on her own in 5 yrs.. when I lost my job we also lost our family dog which was her emotional support animal. We have no furniture now and Thank God that The Red Cross helped us to get clothes as we only had the clothes on our backs. All of Tamera's medicine was lost as well. It's been a very overwhelming time. Especially for her.
