Joseph "JB" Bailey Clementi "Sugar Bear"
October 23, 1989 – September 30, 2024
Joseph "JB" Bailey Clementi, affectionately known as "Sugar Bear," passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34 on Monday, September 30th, 2024. Born in Wichita, Kansas, JB was a beloved member of the flow arts and entertainment community. His unwavering dedication to the creative world and the arts left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
JB was deeply involved in various local theater productions, art exhibitions, and music events, where his artistic talents and passion shone brightly. He was known not only for his creativity but also for his kindness, humor, warmth, and the genuine love and support he gave to those around him.
He is survived by his loving sister, Ariel Clementi, and his nephew John Gregg. He is also survived by his parents Joseph A. and Deborah O. Clementi. He is also survived by his grandparents Joseph D. and Diane M. Clementi, Aunt Carolyn Mosteller, Aunt Gina Clementi, Uncle Andre Clementi, and great-grandmother Opal Fricke. His presence will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and the flow arts community. It is important to also acknowledge the brotherhood and sisterhood he found outside of biology and the impact/role that these relationships played in the joy and beautiful moments in his life. He had a presence in the community, and the community had a powerful presence in his life.
While JB's life was tragically cut short, his passion for the flow arts and his compassionate spirit will live on in all who knew him. His vibrant energy will continue to inspire those in the creative spaces he found freedom in and loved so dearly.
Funeral services will be held on October 19th 2024, at Baker Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. After service gatherings and refreshments will be held at 301 N. Washington at 4:00 PM.
These funds will be utilized for a memorial bench and plaque for Joseph B. Clementi in a local park
We are hoping to place this bench and plaque in Linwood park where Joseph would frequently organize and gather people from the flow community and practice. Joseph B. Clementi would also frequently pick up trash in this park. --Any additional fund will be donated to a local recovery charity
