Joseph Newman's Memorial

To know Joe (Skip) was to laugh often, enjoy good food, cheer on the Oakland Athletics, and to spend as much time as possible with his family. A natural born entrepreneur, Cakes by Joe, was one of Joe’s dreams he brought to life. Not only were they life like, they were full of life, and delicious to eat. When he wasn’t in the kitchen whipping up a cake, he could be found on the third baseline or near the dugout of the Coliseum cheering on his favorite team with family and friends. Anyone that knows Joe, knows his family was his life. There are not enough words to describe how much of an amazing husband/father/son/brother and best friend Joe is. He is the most kind, loving, and genuine person you will ever know. He would go out of his way to help anyone under any circumstance, he was the best friend anyone could ask for. Joe could make everyone in the room laugh, no matter the situation.
This has been an overwhelming and hard time for the family. Due to a recent tragic event Joe succumbed to his injuries. He is survived by his wife Theresa Newman, two young children Natalie and T.J. Cindy and Damon Davis (Parents.) Jake, Michelle, and Frankie English (Brother in-law, Sister & Niece.) Matthew Newman, (Brother) and Liberty Pierson (Sister.)
At this time, we are asking for anything that you can contribute to help the family with memorial services, cremation, and his children’s future. We are all appreciative of your contributions, thoughts and prayers.
Joe is and will always be the heart of his family. Please find it in your heart to help in any way possible to ensure his children get the life they deserve.
Details of the memorial services will be announced shortly.
Ephesians 1:3-12 New American Standard Bible
3Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before [a]Him. In love 5 [b]He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the [c]kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In [d]Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He [e]lavished on [f]us. In all wisdom and insight
