On January 10, 2023, Joseph Patrick McDade lost his battle with addiction and mental illness. Joe Bear, as he was referred for most of his youth, lived in San Diego dedicating his time to helping other addicts in recovery. He spent most days doing any of numerous adventures, but most time was spent with his 17 month old son, Dempsey Joseph.
In classic Joe style with no shirt, no shoes and a starbucks in hand, Joe always had a smile for every person he passed. Joe truly had a one of a kind heart and would do anything for the people he loved. His goofy contagious laugh and smile will be missed.
The outpouring of love and support is nothing short of astonishing. With Dempsey in mind, and Joe's caring nature towards others, the family has set up this fund to support what was important to Joe- Dempsey's future.
