Danyela LeViness is facing an unimaginable loss after her husband, her high school sweetheart, passed away at the age of 29 years old after fighting a rare lifelong illness. Together since their teenage years, Danyela and her husband Joseph Leviness built a loving home for their two young children, Joey (7) and Evie (4). Joe was a survivor of single ventricle congenital heart disease and lived with a rare, incurable condition called protein losing enteropathy (PLE). Throughout his life, he endured four open heart surgeries, multiple experimental procedures, countless hospital admissions, and was awaiting a heart transplant. Despite these challenges, Joe remained devoted to his family and community. Joe worked as an OPFOR military contractor, was a volunteer for the local fire department and fire police. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, going to the movies, playing billiards, cooking and painting in his free time. But above all else, Joe loved making memories fishing and going to the aquarium with his wife and their two children. Joe's journey ended when he was called home to the Lord on August 5th 2025. This loss has left Danyela navigating life as a widow and single mom, with the weight of funeral costs, medical bills, and daily living expenses now resting on her shoulders.

Danyela is not only a dedicated mother but also a nurse at a local non-profit hospital in New Jersey, always a caring friend, and supportive coworker. She has always been there for others, offering compassion and care both at work and in her community. Now, she needs support as she faces the challenges of raising her children alone and managing the financial burdens that come with such a profound loss.
