Joseph Patrick Day Jr, diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2021 at age 18. He was in remission for about a year and a half until December of 2022. One week before Christmas, Joey received the news the cancer came back. With more chemotherapy and eventually a bone marrow transplant, we have high hopes he will beat this cancer for good. Joey has the unwavering support of his family members and community. During his time in remission, Joey started his first semester at his local community college (LCCC) in fall 22’. He also worked at the college in his free time between classes. After class and work, he loved going to the gym and working out with friends. Hopefully within this year, after he beats cancer, Joey has all the hopes of going back to his normal life. It’s going to be harder than we expect and with the support of his friends, community, and family, hopefully his burden lessens.
