Joseph D Olivo Memorial Fund

Without notice that he was even in the lineup, Joe was called up to bat in the big baseball game in the sky. The sudden and unpredictable events of this last week has hit the family in a way that it will take time to catch their breath. Joe was a man that lived his life with integrity, passion, generosity and most of all love. He had a smile and personality that was contagious.
If you were lucky enough to know or even meet Joe Olivo you know that family to Joe was everyone who touched his life over the past 48 years. Joe was the friend who made you his brother, the coworker who made you happy to show up to work with. Joe was the coach, who made everyone on his team and the opposition feel like they were his own children. Joe was the father who was selfless and tireless in providing for their wants and needs and being present in their lives was of utmost importance. Joe was the husband that you would look at and say they broke the mold when they made him! He was that person who made you want to be a better person because there was nothing Joe wouldn’t do for you, even if you were a stranger.
Joe’s love of baseball exuded from him whether playing or coaching and he easily garnered respect from all. Joe was rare, it wasn’t always about winning, instead it was the opportunity for Joe to share his knowledge of baseball and often he was even seen sharing this knowledge with the opposing team.
His family, Nikki, Jordyn and Dominick have faced an immeasurable and shocking loss and as they try to pick up the pieces left behind and move forward, we have developed this go fund me page. In order to carry on his wishes and hopes for the future of his children and family we are asking for any donation.
In Joe’s honor the family is striving to continue his legacy of the love of baseball and charitable ways by setting aside a portion of the proceeds to be used to form a foundation to assist families in need , giving the rewarding gift of baseball to their children.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
