Joseph Cruz's Medical Bills

On the night of June 23rd, 2022, 18-year-old Joseph Cruz went to San Francisco with his cousin and friend to rent bicycles and ride around. It was then a tragic accident occurred. Joseph was struck and run over by a car. He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition. All through the night, the doctors worked to save his life not able to tell his mom, Karla, if he would make it. They were preparing for the worst. They had to remove part of his skull to let the brain swell. He also had broken his leg in multiple places. For the next few days, he remained in critical condition as they drained blood from his head. It is a miracle he is alive but also making great strides in his recovery.

Karla, Joseph’s mom is a single mom of three. I have known her for 12 years and I know how hard she works for her kids and family. We have been co-workers; friends and she has also been my employee. She is now not able to work and needs our help. It is going to be a long recovery for Joseph who will remain in the hospital for several more weeks. Then when he gets to go home, he will need a lot of help to do anything, and Karla will need to stay with him. She will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future, so we are asking for people to donate to help her and her family not have to worry about everyday expenses.

La noche de Junio 23, 2022, Joseph Cruz de 18 años de edad fue a San Francisco con sus primos y amigos a rentar y pasear en bicicleta. Fue entonces que un tragico accidente ocurrio. Joseph fue golpeado y atropellado por un carro. Fue llevado de emergencia al Hospital General de San Francisco en condicion critica. Toda la noche los doctores trabajaron para salvar su vida sin poder asegurar a su madre, Karla, si sobreviviria. Todos se preparaban para lo peor. Los doctores tuvieron que remover parte de su craneo para dejar que su cerebro se hinchara. Joseph tambien se quebro su pierna en varias partes. Por los siguientes dias estuvo en condicion critica mientras drenaban sangre de su cabeza. Es un milagro que este vivo y tambien haciendo grandes avances en su recuperacion.

Karla, la madre de Joseph es madre soltera de tres. Conozco a Karla por 12 años y se que tan fuerte ella trabaja por sus hijos y su familia. Trabajando en mas de un lugar y hasta 10 o 12 horas por dia .Nosotras hemos trabajado juntas somos amigas y ella a sido mi empleada. Ella ahora no puede trabajar como antes y necesita nuestra ayuda. Va a ser una larga recuperacion para Joseph quien se mantendra en el hospital por muchas mas seGCmanas. Cuando Joseph finalmente regrese a casa, el necesitara mucha ayuda para hacer cualquier cosa. y Karla necesitara estar con el. Ella no podra regresar a trabajar tiempo completo en un futuro cercano, por eso estamos pidiendo ayuda con su donacion para ayudarla a ella y su familia a no preocuparse por los gastos del dia.
