Registered Charity No: 1156548
Joseph, who went to Diseworth school was diagnosed in January 2008 with Lymphoma and had 2 years of treatment until January 2010 when he was placed in remission and enjoyed most of 2010 until Boxing Day when he started to feel unwell.
He was taken back to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where, after undergoing various tests, was diagnosed with Leukaemia and required a bone marrow transplant.
His transplant was done at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital in July 2011 and was quite successful in beating the Leukaemia. Unfortunately Joseph suffered with various viruses which are known to follow bone marrow transplants and he fought courageously to overcome all of them.
In June 2013 after battling both Lymphoma and Leukaemia and putting up a tremendous fight Joseph sadly passed away. Josephs last wish was for a Charity to be set up to help terminally ill children enjoy their Christmas.
Over the years M&M Properties have supported the Joseph Cooper Trust in various ways including a Charity Golf day and through the very generous people of Diseworth and beyond we have raised a considerable amount of money that has gone to help Children enjoy Christmas, culminating in last years charity golf day where over £4000 was raised, so this year we are hoping to go one better and reach a target of £5,000. This can only be done by your support in the golf day, the Auction and entertainment in the Plough pub in Diseworth during the evening of friday September 12th 2025.
