A little about Joseph Chisholm
On 29th January 2018, my uncle, Joseph ‘Concrete’ Chisholm sadly passed away following his battle with prostate cancer, at the tender age of 48.
Uncle Joseph was a loving, compassionate and funny individual, whose personality lit up the room whenever he entered. Not only was he the youngest of five siblings and an uncle to seven, my uncle was also a father to three and a grandfather to three, all of whom he loved dearly.
There was never a dull moment with my uncle; he was always smiling and making others smile, cracking jokes and lifting people up. He was also a man of many talents, one of which was his passion for cooking, especially jerk chicken.
Why we need the funds and what they are needed for?
As a result of his ongoing battle with stage four cancer, my uncle was unable to work, due to the severe back, spine and leg pain that he endured. This led to him having to walk with a stick and ultimately, to being out of work for five years.
Eventually he became bedridden before spending six weeks in a hospice, where he sadly passed away.
During this period, Joseph was on benefits which meant that he was unable to generate any savings. Moreover, with the passing of his mother and my grandmother 8 months ago, it has been difficult to finance another funeral so soon.
Therefore, these funds will be used in order to help fund my uncle’s funeral.
How soon do we need the funds and who is in charge?
The family would be extremely grateful if we could generate the funds by 16th February 2018.
In charge of the funds, will be my mother, Joseph’s sister, Claudia Chisholm who is his next of kin and executor of his will.
The family are hugely appreciative of any amount that you are willing to offer, regardless of the size.
