Joseph Braganza Memorial Scholarship Fund

Yesterday the EMS community lost a paramedic from its beloved family. Joe Braganza was called home and is now with the angels. Joe was a gentleman. He was selfless and caring. He put others before himself. He did, for EVERYONE. Joe brought out the best in you. Just working with Joe you cared more, gave more and tried more. Joe influenced so many people, the students he taught math at Bishop Ford HS, the students he taught to drive and the EMT and paramedic students he precepted during his career. Joe took care of South Brooklyn and eastern Queens, for over 30 years, since he started at Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps. It is this kindness, his spirit of giving and his passion for helping others that we want to live on. In his memory we are starting the Joseph Braganza Memorial Scholarship Award. It will be given to a graduating HS senior whose family member is a part of the EMS community. Please help us help others in Joe’s name to continue his legacy of giving.
