My name is Nick Deshotels, and I am a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard. The reason for this fundraiser is to help my fellow Soldier, Joseph Rutherford, who serves with me in the 256th Infantry Brigade. In the early morning hours of December 25th, 2022, Staff Sergeant Joseph Rutherford and his wife Candice were alerted to the terrible news that their home had caught fire. Luckily nobody was home, but the damage was catastrophic and almost all belongings are gone. Joseph has been a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard for 8 years. He is also a member of the Baton Rouge Fire Department. Joseph has dedicated nearly the last decade of his life to helping the state of Louisiana and his local community in Baton Rouge, but now it is Joseph and his family that are in need of help. Joseph and Candace have 4 children ...Bryson (10yrs), Randyn (9yrs), Chevy (9yrs), and Morgan (6yrs). Funds will go to helping the Rutherford's with temporary housing, food, clothes, and household items. Please do what you can to help this wonderful family get through this heart-wrenching time.
