Hi, my name is Joselyn Palacios, I’m an active member of NYPD. I’m am an 911 Call Taker and Dispatcher. I come very humble to you today, asking for your help. I’m currently in the hospital suffering from a condition called ‘Gastroparesis.’ This is a debilitating disease causing not only immense pain, but I have been force to miss work. The work I do as a first responder is selfless work— work that is only rewarded if you show up. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since catching COVID-19 in March 2021. My fiancé has been shouldering all of our bills and obligations all by himself. But today I’m pleading for help for not only my sake but also for his. I am a hard worker, a helper and certainly never saw myself being in this position. Sadly this disease has brought me to my knees. I set a goal but truly any and all help is extremely appreciated.
