In Loving Memory of Josefina “Josie” / “Pining” Santos

September 17, 1936 - October 11, 2025

Hello, my name is Alanna, I am the eldest grandchild of Josefina, lovingly known to everyone as Josie or Pining. I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom & the family to help with the funeral and burial expenses as we prepare to lay my grandma to rest.

Josie “Pining” passed away peacefully on the morning of October 11, 2025, at 8:50 am. She lived a long, beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.

She was truly the heart of our family, especially after the passing of my grandpa, her husband Romeo, in 2013. Her home was always open, her kitchen always busy, and her love always abundant. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether you were family, a friend, or even a stranger. And if you ever visited, you knew you couldn’t leave her house without eating (and eating way too much) or taking food home. Her cooking was her love language.

As we say goodbye to a woman who gave so much of herself to everyone around her, we’re asking for any help you can give toward her funeral and burial costs. No amount is too small, and every gesture of support, every share, and every prayer means so much to our family.
