UPPDATERING: Josef har nu valt att stanna i Sverige i hopp om att få uppehållstillstånd. Pengarna kommer nu gå åt kostnader som rör detta såsom advokat, överklagning m.m.
Josef Jawed är 16 år och går på Norra Reals gymnasium i Stockholm, vilket är en av de mest ansedda skolorna i Sverige. Han kom till Sverige år 2015 (då endast 12) från Afghanistan, utan kontakter eller kunskap om språket. Fyra år senare pratar han flytande svenska, har ett stort umgänge samt en stor konstnärstalang med ett flertal egna utställningar.
Josef har sökt asyl åtta gånger och har fått avslag åtta gånger. Nu tar Josef det svåra beslutet att söka asyl i Frankrike istället, i hopp om att inte behöva återvända till Afghanistan. Josef kommer behöva lämna sin familj och vänner i Sverige. Josef pratar inte franska och känner ingen där.
Vi som hans klasskompisar vill göra allt vi kan för att stötta och hjälpa honom i en utav hans livs svåraste resor. Därför ber vi er nu om hjälp så att Josef inte behöver bo på gatan. Vi uppskattar donationer, allt kan hjälpa, men även att insamlingen delas.

Josef Jawed is 16-years-old and attends Norra Real, one of the most prestigious upper secondary schools in Sweden. He came to Sweden, a mere 12 years old from Afghanistan, without any prior knowledge of the country or language. Four years later he speaks Swedish fluently, has a great network of friends and family, and is a budding artist with multiple art shows of his own.
Josef has applied for asylum eight times and has been refused eight times. Josef has now made the extremely tough decision to leave Sweden and apply for asylum in France in the hopes of not having to return to Afghanistan. This means that he will have to leave his family and friends behind in Sweden. Josef does not know anyone in France nor does he speak the language.
We, his classmates, want to do everything that we can to support and help him on one of his most difficult journeys to date. Therefore, we now ask your help so that Josef won't have to live on the streets of France.
