June 9th 2022, was just another typical day for Jose, just a little extra special

because his birthday was the following

day.

That day would never come for Jose, he would not get to celebrate his 36th

birthday with his family, or get to hug his 3year old son nor hug his wife again.

It was about 7:55pm when Jose was

riding his bicycle to work like he usually

did but Jose never made it to work.

He got hit by a teenage driver causing

serious injuries on his neck and body. He was transferred on a helicopter to a

hospital in Altoona PA. The doctors and

the medical staff tried their best to help

Jose, but his injuries left him In a critical

condition and in a vegetative state.

Jose was later put on life support until his friends and family said their goodbyes, a day they all thought they would be celebrating his life, instead they had to say their final goodbye.

Jose left a wife, Teresa who also works at El Jefe’s and a 3 year old son Jose jr.

His family will be sending Jose’s body

back to Guatemala where he is from.

Team El Jefe’s will be helping out Teresa and her family throughout this process
