On March 22, 2016 Jose and his close friend Ricky Gonzalez were involved in a rollover accident; Jose lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle rolled three times. Ricky was taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. Jose was ejecuted from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Jose Rios at 22 years old was a friend, cousin, uncle, brother, son, and most important a father. Anyone who knew him knows he was a great spirited man. Someone who was always smiling and living life in the moment. Victoria  and Israel Chavero had a great bond  with Jose, and they shared all great life experiences with their son. Victoria had four other children and they were each close to Jose in their own way. Jose and his girlfriend Destyne of five years were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in 2013; his two year old daughter was his pride and joy.  

Today we ask for any support to help our grieving family with the funeral costs for Jose Luis Rios. We appreciate the love and support that our family has received from everyone at this difficult time.
