I’ve been struggling recently. Unfortunately, my heart has become saturated with grief. Tragedy has struck me and those around me. I find myself trying to find the words that encompass the remorse that I feel for Jose Ramirez, one of my friends and co-workers.
Jose was a very kind and talented man. He was bilingual. He could speak English amazingly and of course he could speak Spanish even better. But his best quality was his devotion to his daughter, Addeli Ramirez.
Jose, started working for me when he was only 20 years old. I wasn’t sure if he would last. In the end he became one of my most trusted employees and he has worked for True Finishing for over 5 year. I loved Jose. He was a devoted father. He was always talking to Addeli, his daughter of five. The only thing I can say is that Jose Ramirez was good.
On the night of September 17, 2020 Jose got in an altercation. Of which a woman from a local gang shot him in the back and fatally wounded him. She is in custody today, but I don’t think formal charges have been enforced.
