The morning of December 27th, my father was called to live a peaceful life where he can finally lay to rest. He fought hard and was determined that cancer was no match for him. He stood strong and brave for as long as he could and on that day, he lost his greatest battle to lung cancer. Jose Jesus is my fathers name.
My father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer around this time last year. Not only cancer being one of his battles, he was diagnosed with others the same year.
Boy was he loved! By his grandchildren, children, family, and friends just as much as he loved each and every one of them. I am forever grateful for him, and all he has done for my family and myself.
My Family is currently located in NYC. I, presently live in Texas. Not being close to the family is emotionally stressful at the current moment, especially during the holidays. However I cherished every year, month, week, day hour and second I got to spend with him. Particularly this past Thanksgiving where I was able to say not goodbye, but I will see you later.
My father was born in Mexico and lived in New York for most of his adult life. He worked hard to provide for his family and loved ones. He was a loving and doting father/grandfather who was taken before his time -and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations and prayers; any donation being gratefully accepted in order to help pay for his funeral and other final expenses. If you are not able to donate don’t forget you can still leave messages and comments for our family.
