My name is Jessica Gonzalez, sister-in-law of Jose & Jackie Gonzalez. With Jose and Jackie’s permission, I have started this GoFundMe in hopes to support their unexpected early arrival of their firstborn daughter, Anika.

On July 18th, Jackie was rushed to the hospital with a placenta abruption, and Anika was born 8 weeks prematurely. The baby did go some time without oxygen and had to be intubated. This is going to be a long road ahead of them and nothing any parent should have to face. She was born at one of the top hospitals in Guatemala, but unfortunately, their insurance does not cover the baby’s continued stay and care she is going to need as she continues to fight. We would like them to concentrate on being there for their baby instead of having to worry about medical bills and keeping her in the best hospital. Any help for them would be greatly appreciated so they can make sure their beautiful daughter is receiving the best care while she remains in the ICU NICU.
