Jose Ignacio's AVM Medical Fund
Donation protected
Jose Ignacio is a sweet and friendly 7 year old boy and both him and his sister, Antonia, are part of the Imagine Schools in Weston. Jose Ignacio started vomiting and complaining of a headache during soccer practice and, thankfully, his dad took him to the hospital right away. Once in the hospital, they found out that he was having a brain hemorrhage that started suddenly. He immediately underwent brain surgery.
Currently, he is in the ICU with his parents, who are taking care of him 24/7. Doctors found that Jose has a congenital AVM (arteriovenous malformation). Though a recent test showed that the AVM is very small (thank god), his brain is still very inflamed from the bleeding and he will have a long recovery. They need to wait to do another test before the doctors and clinical team can choose the best treatment for Jose (surgery, radiation, or other options).
As you can imagine, this situation has left his family facing unexpected medical expenses at a time when they are unable to work as they care for their son.
We are organizing this fundraiser to collect donations from individuals who are willing to contribute to this important cause. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way to pay for Jose’s medical expenses (including hospital fees, labs, surgery, and medications) and to replace Jose’s parents unearned income as they care for him.
THANK YOU for opening your hearts and being willing to donate, especially during these times. Jose, his family, and the Imagine Community will be eternally grateful for your generosity.
God Bless You!!!!
