Jose Francisco Rivas Family Fund

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, we discovered we had suddenly lost our beloved Jose Francisco Rivas. Francisco, lovingly known also as Pancho or Fran, suddenly passed away alone in his home leaving behind non-other than a large group of family and friends that loved him dearly. Francisco was a wonderful father to his 13-year-old son Henry, a brother to his many siblings, a beloved son, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a loyal employee and an upstanding member of his community. There is no doubt his loss will leave a gaping hole in the hearts and lives of all those that knew him.
While the family is still gathering their thoughts and emotions behind this tragic loss, I have decided to not waste any time and help them with all of the details that so relentlessly follow the loss of a loved one. Of utmost importance is that the wish of the family is to return Francisco's body to El Salvador where he will be met by his parents, siblings and extended family still living in his country of birth to properly bury him there. As you can imagine such a task is costly and complicated. Francisco being of a young age had made no such arrangements for himself, and the burden now falls on his family and loved ones.
The cost of transporting a loved one to El Salvador will cost between $8,500 - $10,000 USD. This, of course, does not include the many other expenses and tasks that must be fulfilled as well. Francisco's beloved sister Angie Rivas has taken responsibility for these details and responsibilities. Any donations will go directly to her to expedite this labor of love for her brother.
As I live in Mexico and it's not feasible for me to be physically available to the Rivas family during this time (except for a quick trip I just happen to be making this week), I would also like to request that Francisco's friends who have the time and ability to do so, that they present themselves to the family for anything they may need help with. I ask that you all please come together as a community and family to lift up the Rivas family during this time of grief and loss.
Thank you and God bless you!
