On Thursday, Jan. 5, Jose Duarte was diagnosed with a virus in his heart. He's a healthy 15 year old kicker on his high school football team, and a soccer player. The virus did so much damage to his heart, that within a week, this healthy young man was placed on life support and is now waiting for a heart transplant at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. The medical expenses will be astronomical along with the associated expenses of dealing with someone who is so sick. Jose is a great kid, respectful, kind and helpful.
